Montpellier Danse, the famous contemporary dance festival in Montpellier
Every year, the city of Montpellier hosts Montpellier Danse which is an international contemporary dance festival bringing together thousands of spectators. Spread over two weeks, vibrate to the rhythm of contemporary dance with the participation of many companies from around the world and a program rich in shows.
For more than 30 years, the festival has seen the greatest companies and the most illustrious choreographers perform, such as Maurice Béjart. At the same time, it welcomes artists in residence and offers performances by talented and promising choreographers.
Montpellier Danse is also an opportunity to live a total immersion in the history of contemporary dance with animations around dance and open to the public such as documentaries on the history of dance, open-air dance lessons , aperitif-debates on the shows and many others.
