Discover Hérault & Montpellier
The Hérault is a territory with a strong identity, but also a destination of choice which concentrates many heritages, such as the great sites which make the beauty of the department: Saint Guilhem le Désert which shelters the Abbey of Gellone classified in the world heritage of UNESCO, such as the Canal du Midi, the Des Demoiselles and Clamouse caves, the Pic Saint Loup, and many more.
From cathedral builders to avant-garde architects, the Hérault offers a variety of religious and civil monuments. In town and in the countryside, abbeys and cathedrals rub shoulders with mansions and castles.
