The Comedy of the Book 2019!

For its 34th edition from May 17 to 19, 2019, the Comédie du Livre will honor Switzerland and its plural literature.

Located Place de la Comédie and on the Esplanade which extends it, this popular event welcomes around 60,000 visitors each year and offers a very rich program of meetings, readings, debates and workshops.

Resolutely generalist, free and open to all, the Comédie du Livre aims to be a faithful reflection of French editorial news. Novels, essays, children's literature, comic strips, graphic novels...: its programming welcomes many literary genres and highlights the choice of booksellers, these irreplaceable and precious mediators.

In the program :

- Focus on the independent publishing house Allary Éditions and its ambitious and stimulating catalog
- Carte blanche to the French writer Véronique Ovaldé: Meetings, literary concerts, readings with one or more voices...
- Animations that give pride of place to the meeting of the arts: literature in all its forms, music, theater and illustration will agree to set the tone
- This year a novelty: the Comédie du OFF, a stand for self-published authors from Montpellier and the Metropolis.
- Swiss literature will be honored and will highlight its authors Alex Capus, Alain-Claude Sulzer, Arno Camenisch, Alberto Nessi, Fabiano Alborghetti, Aude Seigne and Bruno Pellegrino.
